Their role is twofold: they quickly protect the soil from erosion and ensure the safety of other plants by emerging quickly. Their uniform presence is a good sign that seeding has been carried out correctly, while their absence can indicate areas where seeding has failed or been disturbed, facilitating rapid intervention to rectify the situation.
